Garden of Eve Organic Farm

Garden of Eve Organic Farm & Market, located in Riverhead, New York, is a certified organic farm founded in 2001 by environmental advocates Chris and Eve Kaplan-Walbrecht. Their mission is to provide delicious organic vegetables, fruits, and flowers while promoting sustainable agriculture and community engagement.

The farm began as a quarter-acre garden and has expanded to approximately 100 acres, cultivating over 70 varieties of vegetables, 20 herbs, and 30 types of flowers. They also raise 1,000 pasture-raised laying hens, contributing to their diverse organic offerings.

Garden of Eve operates a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, delivering fresh produce to nearly 1,000 households across Long Island and New York City. They also participate in farmers markets in locations such as Williamsburg, Forest Hills, and Westhampton Beach.

In recent developments, the Kaplan-Walbrechts have leased a portion of their farm to Waterdrinker Family Farm, which now manages the public-facing aspects, including the farm stand and events. The original owners continue to cultivate the land organically and maintain their CSA program.
